I have discovered sports later in life.

I was introduced to the game of rugby by a friend of a friend in my small hometown’s team, and I immediately got hooked; I was surprised to find a space where my size would not be seen as a hurdle, but rather like a valuable skill.

I played for about 10 years and through various injuries; after moving to the PNW, I have found my place with the Portland Old Boars – an old boys team which meet during the year fior various tournaments throughout the area as well as abroad.

I have also discovered running when I moved to California in 2015. It took me some time to get adjusted to that, but I was able to complete various races in the Bay Area.

Running also allowed me to meet other atheletes and great human beings at the SFRRC and at the Belmont Runners Club.
