Over my long career , I have been part of many small and mid size projects.
These are some of those I’m more proud of.
- At Petersen Precision in Redwood City, CA, we implemented a transition for the tracking of maintenance tasks for 50+ machines from antiquated paper tracking to the full implementation of Fiix as the CMMS software. In parallel, and working closely with the OEM, we adjusted the maintenance schedule based on the real utilization of every single machine.
- This allowed a reduction of time used for maintenance by about 30%, thus freeing technician time for more important tasks and training
- This also reduced the amount of material resources utilized for maintenance by an approximate 20%
- In parallel, we had also optimized the spare parts area, by eliminating old items and replacing them with new items; each new item was labeled and added into Fiix for each machine
- this reduced the cost for spare parts by approximately 15% YoY
- by having parts readily available , it also reduced the MTTR from >2 days to less than 4 hours in some cases
- At Fulfil , I have supported the engineering team through the development, installation and testing of a custom sub-cabinet necessary for the correct vision of the product being dispensed
- Through variuous iterations, some hiccups with parts procurement and many last-minute tweaks, we were able to successfully test, install and integrate the cabinet in the whole system, thus allowing for a successfull customer demo
- I have also worked on the main electrical panel overseeing the whol safety infrastructure of the machine ; this happened in close collaboration with the Safety Manager and the Electrical Engineering Team
- At Lab0 , I have indipendently led the installation, modification, testing and startup of a piece of equipment; this project was completed by managing a team of 6 contractors ,as well as material procurement and such.
- I have also supported the timely deployment and testing of other parts of the whole system, as well as assisted the Engineering team with various R&D tasks (procurement, material tracking, installation, etc…).
